Different Strokes....
Well...something like this happened to me two days back and a wierd thought has been playing hide & seek since then......Now without beating around the bush anymore lemme come straight to the point..
All of us experience pain in life.Whether the pain is physical, emotional or spiritual, the reason differs and so does the type and intensity. I was just wondering if we ever visualise pain what color would it be.......Told u its a wierd thought....but so am I.....
So coming back to the color of the pain...When we get hurt as in someone steps on our feet or we bump our head against the wall the pain that we experience has to be red...cos that pain is more often than not accompanied by anger. Dont we just feel like abusing that idiot who stepped on us and left without even saying sorry...Well...I definetely do....GRRR!
And then there are times when we want to achieve so much but are not able to do so and that time the pain is bright yellow- color of failed aspirations ....but within that pain there is a hope...a resolute determination...spirit of not giving up come what may!
The most dreadful pain is the black colored pain. Its the pain that we feel when sumone close to us hurts us really bad....when our trust is breached...when we know that there is no way we can turn our dreams into reality....a situation wherein everything looks dark, gloomy and hopeless.....
Then there is a blue colored pain....a point wherein we reach an understanding with the pain...we accept the fact that we have to live with it and we go through a process of realisation... a realisation that small joys can co-exist with pain.....for example when we ae very very sad abut something and we see a small child smiling at us...We cant help but smile back even through our pain. Or when we see the sky we cant help but acknowledge the beauty of the nature despite our melancholy....
The best is of course the white colored Pain....sumthing that Buddha went through....through out small ways we realise and attain enlightenment about various aspects of life at this stage of pain...We realise that we need to enjoy what there is to enjoy and suffer what there is to suffer and are able to come out of the shadow of fear...fear of getting hurt...and this is the stage wherein we as individuals are able to conquer PAIN.
However reaching this stage does not mean that we will never experience other shades of pain.....its just that next time we see one of the colors we'll know that this is not the only shade...there are others which can be better or worse....and this knowledge will not only give us the strength to bear the pain but also the courage to conquer it....
